On a hot August day, sometime in the late 1930s, eight people, who do not know each other, receive the same invitation from “Mr. and Mrs. Owen.” Arriving on a small, isolated island off the coast of England, they are greeted by Thomas and Ethel Rogers, two recently hired servants. However, the hosts are absent. At dinner, guests notice in the center of the table, ten soldiers figurines, seated in a circle. Soon, one of the guests dies of poison, and one of the figurines on the table disappears. The others are beginning to suspect the murder. But the deaths will continue, and the figurines on the table are dwindling.
